  • Seems to me it is more like working on a commission. Just like bill-collectors from private companies get a percentage of what they collect, the auditors will be on commission only, so only a portion of what they bring back in is "pissed away" again.

  • Yes. You do need procedures on how this is to happen. Ask your wife about Sarbanes-Oxley. Fraud was illegal before then, but it didn't stop Enron. It was discovered that people just simply can not follow laws or simply audit the laws that are in place.

  • Yes, but with any publicly traded company and other companies which may have taken out large loans, there is a requirement by either the government or the lender to perform audits.

  • Ok, just because it was democrat sponsored and signed by a democrat president doesn't make this a party v party bill. As stated in another article this was voted on unanimously by both sides of the aisle.

  • Yeah, there are other news stories. I believe MSNBC has written on those too. I for one don't mind a 'light-hearted' news story and enjoy getting a little of the details. Reading this is far better that reading about the latest Miley Cyrus scandal which our news media also reports on quite a bit.

  • I don't understand the fuss of the new fees. Fortunately I had sent mine back in right before the increase though! ;) It isn't like you have to pay this every time you travel - it is good for 10 years.
